Oxbow Development Group is moving ahead on its plans to build a hotel in the Pearl neighborhood of San Antonio. The San Antonio Business Journal reports that the company announced that it had obtained a construction loan from Frost Bank and will name the hotel Perlen House. The nine-story, 166-key structure will be across the river from Hotel Emma. Perlen House would operate as a select-service hotel at a cheaper price point.
Oxbow is nearing completion on its Coopers Row apartment project nearby and is in the process of building two other multifamily offerings, Mira and Lewellen.
Toward the end of 2002, Silver Ventures, Oxbow’s parent company, purchased the 23-acre brewery site known as Pearl. The company has been actively developing the brewery property, hoping to attract businesses and River Walk tourists.Â
