OnePlus has just released a teaser for its upcoming Android 16-based OxygenOS update, and it’s… not revealing much. That’s what teasers are, though, so we’re not exactly surprised.
OxygenOS 16 teaser has been shared, and it’s focusing on speed and smoothness
In any case, this video teaser has popped up on Threads, and you can check it out via the video embedded below. It’s showing only a piece of the software, the overview menu, and a bunch of apps there.
The video lasts only 15 seconds, and it shows someone scrolling through the apps in the overview menu, first on a single phone, and then on four phones which are laid out side by side. We’re presuming that’s the OnePlus 15 in there. The look of its front side fits, and so do the thin bezels.
At the very end of this clip, OnePlus is using the ‘So Fast. So Smooth’ caption. That’s the message the company is trying to convey here. It’s once again taking that angle, which is always a good angle, we’d say.
Every single UI should be fast and smooth, with no hiccups whatsoever. OnePlus has been doing a great job in that regard thus far, so we’re expecting the same from this version too.
Android 16-based OxygenOS 16 will launch on October 16
With that being said, we do know that OxygenOS 16 will become official on October 16. What we do not know is what new features will it bring. Well, we do know one thing, something that OnePlus already confirmed.
OxygenOS’ Mind Space will get the Google Gemini integration, and thus make it more useful than ever before. That has been confirmed, but it’s not something that OnePlus teased in this video.
The OnePlus 15, on the other hand, is expected to arrive later this month… to China. The device is tipped to launch globally on November 13. That piece of information has not been confirmed just yet, though.
