Outrigger Industrial, in partnership with Metlife Investment Management, plans to redevelop an industrial property at 727 Kennedy St. in Oakland. The investment will upgrade the functionality of the vacant building, aligning it with modern standards and current market needs, according to Outrigger. Construction at Kennedy Logistics Center is slated to begin in the third quarter of 2025, with a
completion target of Q2 2026.
“Outrigger Industrial is committed to investing in Northern California’s East Bay area, especially in projects like this where repositioning an asset has both a financial upside as well as broader community benefits,” said William Lu, co-founder & managing partner, Outrigger Industrial.
The initial phase of construction at Kennedy Logistics Center involves a reduction of the existing building footprint by 57,000 square feet to allow for loading dock reconfiguration. The upgraded building, which will comprise 177,000 square feet, will feature numerous structural reinforcements and visual enhancements.
