The first-generation Ford GT was a mighty machine. It was also an enthusiastic, ideal American supercar with its power sourced from a rowdy V8 engine paired with a six-speed manual transmission, with power directed exclusively to the rear. Sure, it was short-lived, and the Ford GT moniker wouldn’t return for more than a decade, but it was still an impressive American supercar, one that almost featured a V10 engine instead.
