OPPO is reportedly going to outfit the Find X9 Pro with MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 chipset, and a 7,500mAh capacity battery later this year, if recent rumors are to be believed.
MediaTek is poised to announce the Dimensity 9500 in the next couple of months – likely in September, just before Snapdragon Summit. And OPPO is typically one of the first to release their Find X series with the latest chipset. Last year, it was in October that OPPO did their global launch for the Find X8 series in Bali.
The OPPO Find X9 Pro is also slated to sport a huge 7,500mAh capacity battery, which would be the largest in a flagship smartphone right now. realme has been offering some pretty large batteries (and have confirmed to us that they will have a 7,500mAh battery smartphone before the end of 2025), but those aren’t really flagship phones.
OPPO also planning to use a 200MP periscope camera
On top of this, Digital Chat Station also mentioned over on Weibo that the Find X9 Pro would also sport a 200-megapixel periscope camera. As well as having a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, with IP68/69 and 50W wireless charging.
Some of these features aren’t that surprising. The ultrasonic fingerprint sensor was available on the Find X8 Ultra as well as the OnePlus 13, while OPPO and OnePlus did add IP68 and IP69 to a lot of their phones in the past year. It’ll likely run on Android 16 and ColorOS 16.
The OPPO Find X series is the company’s flagship smartphone lineup, which really grew quite a bit last year. OPPO debuted the Find X8 and X8 Pro, then earlier this year they debuted the X8s, X8s+ and the X8 Ultra. Pretty much offering something at every price point and even every size.
We could expect some of these features to come over to OnePlus as well. However, I wouldn’t expect OnePlus to use MediaTek. They’ll likely continue using Snapdragon and have a smaller battery because of US regulations.
