OPPO has started teasing its most-anticipated foldable, the Find N6. The first promotional image teases a crease-less inner display, which seems to be its secret sauce this year, helping it edge out other foldables on the market. Ahead of its expected launch next month, OPPO has reportedly invited reporters to its production line and offered a glimpse behind the scenes. The main agenda is to showcase how OPPO achieved a crease-less foldable display on the Find N6.
OPPO shares a glimpse of how it achieved a crease-less foldable display on the Find N6
It took three years of work and dozens of prototypes for OPPO to get to the Find N6 design. The refined assembly process includes dozens of new inspection steps to ensure that each component is installed within a tolerance of 0.03mm. Usually, the size of the crease on a foldable isn’t a constant thing; it becomes bigger over time with use. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case with the Find N6.Â
OPPO also reportedly set up an automated testing stand to open and close the devices 300,000 times. Even after 170,000 fold/unfold cycles, one test unit showed no noticeable crease when it was given to a reporter for inspection.
TUV Rheinland certification
Tipster Digital Chat Station also reports that Find N6 has received TUV Rheinland certification for the flattest display on a foldable. Something which OPPO teased in its first teaser for the Find N6. It seems like OPPO has overcome the major points of the foldables. The OPPO Find N6 may debut in select global regions in March. We’ll have to see which global regions will get it.
The OPPO Find N6 will sport an 8.12-inch main display and a 6.62-inch cover screen. It may feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip for premium performance. The Geekbench listing revealed it could get at least a 16GB RAM option and Android 16 OS. The phone may rock a 200MP main camera, a multispectral camera, and dual 50MP sensors for periscope telephoto and ultrawide. Leaks also point to a 6,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging.
