In less than two weeks, OPPO will take the wraps off its upcoming flagship phone, the Find X9 Ultra. We recently came across an alleged hands-on video of the phone, and now new renders of the OPPO Find X9 Ultra in orange have surfaced on X, courtesy of @RODENT950.
OPPO Find X9 Ultra renders leaked in orange
However, we should mention that these renders and the phone in the video look a bit different. For those who missed the previous video, it showed off a two-toned finish on the back, where we can see a slate gray metal finish along with what appears to be some kind of textured material that looks like leather. We could be mistaken.
In these renders, however, it shows a single tone. Also, the OPPO branding is placed horizontally at the bottom instead of vertically on the side. We can also see the Hasselblad “H” logo, but not the actual name itself. Either one of these renders are wrong, or maybe these are different versions/editions of the phone. Regardless, it’s something to take note of.
What’s interesting is OPPO’s choice to launch it in orange. Apple kind of brought the color back into trend last year with the iPhone 17 Pro. In fact, some attribute the orange finish to the phone’s success in China. It seems that OPPO wants to capitalize on that. In fact, OPPO already tried that with its latest foldable, the Find N6, which also launched in an orange finish.
A photography beast in the making
One of the highlights of the upcoming Find X9 Ultra is its cameras. OPPO recently confirmed the camera specs, in which the main sensor of the phone will be a Sony LYT-901 sensor. It is a 1/1.12-inch sensor and has an aperture of f/1.5. It will be accompanied by a 200MP OmniVision OV52A telephoto, a second 50MP periscope telephoto, and a 50MP Sony LYT-600 ultrawide.
The specs are impressive on paper but we’ll have to see how it handles in real life. Other specs include a 6.82-inch 2K LTPO AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It will also be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and supports up to 16GB of RAM. We also heard it is packing a 7,050mAh battery with support for 100W charging speeds.
