OPPO is all set to introduce its latest Find series smartphones at an event in China tomorrow. Ahead of the new product launch, the company has officially debuted ColorOS 16. The brand’s new Android-based in-house OS will debut globally alongside the Find X9 series. As per the firm, built on Android 16, ColorOS 16 focuses on performance, AI enhancements, and better cross-connectivity.
ColorOS 16 brings smoother performance and smarter features
OPPO has introduced two key technologies with ColorOS 16: the Luminous Render Engine and the Trinity Engine. The company says these two technologies enhance frame stability, app launch speed, and battery efficiency of its devices. OPPO has utilized them to make the user interface smoother and more responsive during heavy multitasking usage.
Furthermore, the brand has enhanced the AI capabilities of the OS in the new update. The brand’s new AI Portrait Glow feature improves lighting in low-light photos and enhances facial tones in real time. Users can also expect smarter system suggestions and better text recognition in the Gallery and Notes apps.
As for the other enhancements, ColorOS 16 provides a refreshed look inspired by natural elements. It now has new animated wallpapers, fluid transitions, and AI-generated themes. The firm has also redesigned the Always-On Display, which now shows more real-time info from apps without unlocking the devices.
Globally rolling out with the Find X9 series
OPPO’s Find X9 series phones are launching tomorrow with ColorOS 16. The brand will host a global launch event to showcase the full potential of the new OS in the coming days. OPPO will start rolling out ColorOS 16 to users in China starting from October 30.
The first set of phones to get the new update includes the Find N5, Find X8 series, and the Chinese versions of the OnePlus 13 and 13T. In November and December, the latest flagship and mid-range OPPO and OnePlus devices will receive upgrades to the new OS.
