Live Oak Contracting bought JEA’s former headquarters for $1 million at auction and plans to redevelop the property.
Located at 21 West Church St, the office was listed as surplus property last year after the public utility relocated to new offices at 225 N. Pearl St. in 2023. The 19-story building was built in the mid 60’s.
Live Oak is partnering with Lone Pine Development.
After the redevelopment, The Jewel at 21 West will consist of 180 residences, retail, dining, and community space in a 350,000-square-foot building. It will also have a rooftop lounge and an amenity deck.
On its website, the company touts that its full-service firm has more than 50 years of experience spanning ten states. They specialize in everything from development, design-assist build, renovation, rehab, and more.
