After multiple leaks, the OnePlus Nord 6 finally gets a launch date. The new Nord-branded phone will debut on April 7th in India at 7 pm IST. This comes after the brand recently introduced the OnePlus Nord Buds 4 Pro. The official poster shared by the company on X reveals the complete rear design and also the color options it’ll be available in. There’s also a mention of “OnePlus AI,” suggesting that the Nord 6 will arrive with AI features.
OnePlus Nord 6’s launch date is now officially revealed
The OnePlus Nord 6 poster shows that it’ll arrive in green, black, and purple colorways, with the latter featuring a unique etching on the back panel. It has a square module on the top left corner, and this houses dual camera sensors and an LED flash. The volume rocker and power button are present on the right edge, with the AI Plus key placed on the left. The OnePlus Nord 6 has a flat backplate design, with rounded corners for the frame.
There’s a dedicated Amazon event page, which reveals more hardware details of the Nord 6. Firstly, this confirms the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip. Additionally, it’ll get two more dedicated chips: a Touch Reflex Chip for smooth gaming and a G2 Wi-Fi chip. OnePlus is also bragging about the segment’s first “steady and smooth” 165 fps gaming.
The OnePlus Nord 6 is also confirmed to rock a massive 9,000mAh battery, which is claimed to offer 2.5 days of power and up to 26.9 hours of YouTube binging. The handset will feature an OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. It’ll offer 1800 nits brightness outdoors and can go as low as 2 nits for low-light. The phone will get at least 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and a 256GB UFS 4.1 storage option. Lastly, OnePlus is offering a lifetime warranty for the display against green line issues.
Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, 9,000mAh battery, and an OLED display
While OnePlus has revealed most of the specifications of the Nord 6, some are still under wraps. To fill that void, tipster Abhishek Yadav has shared the expected specs on X. As per it, the upcoming Nord phone will sport a 6.78-inch 1.5K flat OLED LTPS panel with 3840PWM dimming and OPPO’s Crystal Shield protection. The large 9,000mAh battery will support 80W fast wired charging and 27W wired reverse charging. It’ll also get bypass charging.
As for the camera specs, the Nord 6 may feature a 50MP Sony LYT-600 OIS main camera and a 2MP secondary lens. It may rock a 16MP lens on the front for selfies. It is likely to boot Android 16 with ColorOS 16 skin on top. Rest, it may get an optical in-display fingerprint sensor, dual stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 7, IR blaster, X-axis 0809 linear motor for haptics, and an impressive IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for water and dust resistance. It may measure 8.50mm in thickness and weigh 217 grams.
