The OnePlus 15T is finally official, after a lot of teasers from the company. This is OnePlus’ new compact flagship smartphone, and it has been announced in China. There’s still no word on global availability. Its predecessor was available in China and India, that’s it.
The OnePlus 15T features a flat display with a centered display camera hole up top. The frame is flat all around, while the backplate is flat too. The corners of the phone are rounded, though, to break that boxy look.
The OnePlus 15T is here with a squarish design and a ‘Plus Key’
It has a squarish camera bump on the back, which includes two cameras. The action key aka Plus Key is placed on the left side, while the remaining (standard) physical buttons sit on the right. The device itself is made out of metal and glass.
This is a very powerful phone, actually. It is fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. That chip is backed by up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 flash storage. The storage is not expandable.
There is a 6.32-inch 1.5K OLED display included on the front, with a refresh rate of up to 165Hz. It’s an LTPS display, by the way. The bezels around the display are immensely thin, only 1.1mm, actually.
A huge 7,500mAh battery is used, along with 100W wired & 50W wireless charging
A huge 7,500mAh battery sits on the inside, which would be a huge battery even for a much, much bigger phone. 100W wired charging is supported, along with 50W wireless charging.
Android 16 comes pre-installed here, with ColorOS 16 on top. The phone has an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner under the display. It is IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K-rated, thus offers great ingress protection.
OnePlus also included 5,150mm2 vapor cooling here, on top of everything else. The phone is 8.35mm thick and weighs 194 grams. The pricing in China starts at CNY4,299 ($625), while the priciest model costs CNY5,699 ($828)
