Today, the OnePlus 15 was announced globally, after being announced in China a couple of weeks ago. It’s great to see such a short time between the China and Global launch, but the US had to mess everything up for OnePlus.
Due to the US Government shutdown, which is well over a month long at this point, the OnePlus 15 is delayed in the US. Essentially, what happened is the FCC has not granted the OnePlus 15 all appropriate certifications, and therefore cannot be sold in the US just yet.
Here’s the official statement from OnePlus:
“As is the case with every smartphone manufacturer, the United States’ Federal Communications Commission certifies OnePlus devices before they are sold in the U.S. Given the current government shutdown, U.S. sales for the OnePlus 15 will be postponed until appropriate certifications are secured. The OnePlus 15 has already finished all the required tests from the FCC’s recognized labs and the certification application has been formally submitted.
People who are interested in purchasing the OnePlus 15 in the U.S. should visit OnePlus.com/us, enter their contact information, and they will be notified when the device is on sale. The OnePlus 15 will officially be available for pre-order in Canada starting November 13, as scheduled, at OnePlus.com/ca_en.”
While this sucks, we are hoping that the US can reopen pretty soon, especially seeing all the chaos in the skies right now due to the shutdown.

OnePlus 15 will start at $899 in the US, when it can be sold
When the OnePlus 15 can finally be sold here in the US, it’ll start at $899 – hopefully. OnePlus does say that the “price is subject to change due to current market conditions,” which is likely a jab at the tariffs and other component costs going up.
The 12GB/256GB model will start at $899 and be available only in the Infinite Black color, while the 16GB/512GB model will be $999 and come in all three OnePlus 15 colors – Infinite Black, Ultra Violet, and Sand Storm.
