OnePlus has announced its ‘DetailMax’ image engine earlier today, which also marks the end of its partnership with Hasselblad. That image engine will debut on the OnePlus 15. Now, another interesting report surfaced, claiming that the OnePlus 15 will use BOE’s flagship third-gen ‘Oriental Screen’.
The OnePlus 15 will utilize the next-gen ‘Oriental Screen’ from BOE
This new ‘Oriental Screen’ will be the best display in the smartphone industry, claims Digital Chat Station, one of the best-known tipsters out there. It will be packed with exclusive, cutting-edge tech and feature an upgraded touch IC for ultra-high refresh rates.
Those 165Hz display reports sure do make sense now. Several reports surfaced claiming that the OnePlus 15 will feature a 1.5K AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. It seems like that will be the case.
As per usual, a 165Hz refresh rate won’t be on all the time. That would drain the battery life crazy. It will likely come into play when needed, as for games, for example. Games that support it will be able to utilize it.
This will be a LIPO display, and most likely measure 6.78 inches
That will also be a LIPO display, and it will allegedly measure 6.78 inches. That’s something that a previous rumor mentioned. If it doesn’t end up being exactly 6.78 inches, it will be somewhere around there. It will also be flat, almost certainly.
The OnePlus 15 is expected to become official next month, in October. It will launch in China first. At least that was the case with the OnePlus 13. The global unit will likely arrive several months after the phone becomes official in OnePlus’ homeland.
The OnePlus 13 arrived in January this year, so it’s possible the OnePlus 15 will use the same launch timeline. There’s always a chance OnePlus will mix things up and launch the device sooner than that. We’re almost certain it won’t happen later than January.
