The OnePlus 15 is coming, the company has confirmed it today during the Snapdragon Summit in Hawaii. OnePlus has promised to provide more information in the coming weeks.
The OnePlus 15 is on its way
We do know that the phone is coming, but we still don’t know the exact date. The OnePlus 13 originally launched in October (in China), and then globally in early January. That’s the pattern that OnePlus may follow again, it remains to be seen.
China will still get the device first, though, almost certainly. If we had to guess, we’d say that it’s coming in October. The source claims it will be late October. Here’s what was said during the Snapdragon Summit.
“For more than a decade, OnePlus and Qualcomm Technologies have moved in lock-step to redefine what a flagship can be,” said Pete Lau, the co-founder of OnePlus. He also added: “With Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 at its core, OnePlus 15 carries that legacy forward-delivering the speed, intelligence and efficiency our users demand today and into the future.”
The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC will fuel the phone
What was also confirmed by the company, earlier today, and then repeated by Pete Lau at Snapdragon Summit, is that the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 will fuel the OnePlus 15. That is Qualcomm’s brand new flagship processor that was announced a couple of days ago.
We also know, for a fact, that a 165Hz display will be used. That display is allegedly provided by BOE, the company’s new ‘Oriental Screen’. It is expected to have thinner bezels than the OnePlus 13, too. That display by BOE is the main reason why.

A 7,300mAh silicon-carbon battery is also tipped, while the DetailMax imaging engine has been confirmed. OnePlus is ending its partnership with Hasselblad. Android 16 will probably come pre-installed on the phone.
