
Samsung is expanding the One UI 8 beta program to previous-generation flagships. These include the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and the Galaxy Z Flip 6. This announcement comes while many were expecting the South Korean giant would kick off the stable rollout later this month. Based on the feedback from the beta testing, the stable release is confirmed to begin in September.
One UI 8 beta expands to Galaxy S24 and 2024 foldables
Samsung launched the One UI 8 beta program with the Galaxy S25 series in May. Later, the full version debuted with the new Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 in July. The beta program is now expanding to more Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy S24 lineup, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6. Owners of these models in Korea, the US, the UK, and India can sign up for beta testing beginning next week.
Samsung has confirmed to roll out the official version of One UI 8 in September. Though the exact date hasn’t been specified, it could be towards the end of the month. This is considering the beta program is just getting started.

In September, the beta program will be available to even more devices. The list includes the Galaxy S23 series, the Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 foldables, Galaxy A36, Galaxy A55, Galaxy A35, and Galaxy A54. Interested users can register for the beta program via the Samsung Members app and give the new OS a shot. One UI 8 is claimed to offer more convenient AI experiences, enhance productivity, and more.
Lastly, Samsung has also confirmed that One UI 8 Watch will expand to more Galaxy Watch models later this year. To recall, the new Galaxy Watch 8 series debuted with the full version last month.
