Over-the-air software updates are meant to keep even aging vehicles up-to-par with their contemporaries, but the reality is, some companies choose to keep the latest updates and enhancements to the latest models. Such is the case with Rivian, with cost being the primary reason for the relatively small startup EV maker. However, Rivian’s latest OTA update veers a bit away from that, covering even older R1S SUVs and R1T Trucks.
