Nothing Phone 4a and Phone 4a Pro are slated to be announced on March 5. That puts it right at the tail-end of Mobile World Congress, which runs from March 2 through March 6. Nothing typically launches a phone or two at MWC every year; in fact, last year they launched the Phone 3a and 3a Pro at the same event.
This info comes from a recent leak from Yogesh Brar, who has been pretty accurate with leaks as of late, but not 100%. In his tweet, he mentions that it will have upgraded storage with UFS3.1 storage included, a new design, a small battery bump, a higher price, and it’ll also use a Snapdragon chip.
Some of these details were already announced by Nothing itself. And previous leaks had pointed to the Nothing Phone 4a launching with a Snapdragon 7-series chip, with a 5080mAh capacity battery and an IP65 rating.
Carl Pei, founder of Nothing, also recently confirmed that phones would be getting more expensive this year. Pei, who has been pretty transparent with costs for Nothing, told everyone that smartphone prices would be going up in 2026, and it’s mostly due to the exploding memory prices, which is thanks to AI. This isn’t a hurdle for just Nothing, but being a smaller smartphone OEM means that they cannot absorb the cost as easily as someone like Samsung or Apple.
Nothing Phone 4a and 4a Pro could take the Best Budget Phone crown again
Last year, the Phone 3a and 3a Pro were really good budget options in the market. We didn’t give it that crown since they are kinda not really available in the US. But these were very solid devices, with pretty unique designs too. You can check out our list of the Best Budget Android Phones, too.
And depending on the price for these two new devices, they could also end up being very competitive in 2026.
