Samsung has rolled out a new update to its stock Weather app that adds noticeable UI changes across several in-app sections. The new version is officially rolling out to all the Galaxy phones, including the latest Galaxy S26 series. The update focuses on improving the overall visual clarity and usability of the application.

The most noticeable UI changes appear in the redesigned cards within the app. The Pollen section now replaces the older translucent leaf symbol with more distinct icons representing tree, grass, and ragweed pollen. These updated visuals will help users quickly identify allergens. However, the intensity levels are still not as clearly communicated through the new designs.
Further, the Wind and Pressure cards have received updated graphics as well. While the new look feels modern, some users may find the previous version more practical due to its clearer text emphasis. Samsung is trying to balance between aesthetics and usability, which is quite evident here. Initially, the updated graphics may not suit everyone, but their appearance may grow over time.
Improved graphics, better layout, and radar features
The main focus of the new UI is on layout efficiency and interactive features. The Moon card now uses space more effectively by placing moonrise and moonset times side by side. This redesign not only reduces clutter but also allows users to absorb key information faster without scrolling or scanning unnecessary space.
Last but not least, the Radar section sees one of the more functional upgrades. New quick-access icons for forecast, radar, clouds, and temperature now appear at the bottom of the map. These shortcuts connect users directly to detailed radar views powered by The Weather Channel. As said earlier, the update is rolling out to all the eligible Galaxy smartphones. Most users should have access to the newest version in the coming days.
