Motorola is preparing to launch its new Edge 70 Fusion smartphone. But ahead of any official information, a new leak has revealed that the upcoming device will pack a mid-range Snapdragon 7-series mobile chip. The phone is expected to land in the market as an overall balanced package, featuring a decent mix of power, camera, and battery.
Leak confirms Motorola Edge 70 Fusion to offer Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chip
Early leaks revealed that the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion will pack a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip. However, a recent leak suggests something else. It claims that the Edge 70 Fusion will instead offer a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chip. The phone’s Geekbench listing confirms the claim. To finally offer more clarity, some leaked promotional materials (via YTechB) of the phone confirm that it is indeed going to feature the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset.
In addition to the chipset details, the leak also reveals memory and storage options. As per the information, the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion will offer 12GB RAM. However, it will also offer an 8GB variant in select markets across the globe. The device is said to offer up to 256GB of onboard storage.
It will pack a massive 7,000mAh battery
Motorola Edge 70 Fusion is also revealed to feature a large 6.83-inch AMOLED panel with 1.5K pixel resolution and up to 144Hz refresh rate support. The panel is also said to offer a peak brightness rating of a whopping 5,200-nits. Moreover, the phone is going to pack a massive 7,000mAh battery with 68W fast wired charging support. It will boot up on Android 16-powered HelloUI right out-of-the-box. The company could promise up to three major updates and four years of security updates for the device.
Last but not least, the Edge 70 Fusion is said to feature a 50MP primary wide lens with a Sony LYTIA image sensor. On the front, the phone houses a 32MP shooter for selfies and video calls. Reports also mention IP68 and IP69 ratings along with MIL STD 810H certification.
