Electric vehicles like the Tesla Model 3 are in a weird place right now. The bipartisan infrastructure bill passed under President Joe Biden was a massive boon for the segment, pumping money into charging infrastructure and creating incentives for drivers to make the switch to battery power. That progress hasn’t exactly been undone by the current administration’s disinterest in electric vehicles, but the evaporation of the tax credits has certainly pumped the brakes on what looked to be a full-blown electric revolution just a year ago.
