Every year I tell myself I’ll remember what I read—and every year I don’t. So this is my attempt to keep track, share what I loved (or didn’t), and hopefully give friends and followers a few what should I read next? ideas along the way.
This list will grow throughout 2026 and include everything from buzzy new releases to older books that finally made their way onto my nightstand or into my headphones. Some will be wins, some won’t—but all of them earned my time, which feels worth noting.

2026 Reads (So Far)
📘 White Noise by Don DeLillo
A classic for a reason—but not an easy love. Heavy on ideas about consumerism, technology, and fear, lighter on warmth. Worth reading if you enjoy debating a book more than escaping into it.

📕 Strangers: A Memoir of Marriage by Belle Burden
An intimate, sharply paced memoir about love, divorce, and the quiet mysteries inside a marriage. Best experienced on audio, read by the author herself—and one you’ll want to recommend immediately.

The year started with two very different reads. White Noise was a family book club pick and firmly in the “glad we talked about it more than I enjoyed it” category. Heavy on ideas, light on warmth, but it sparked great conversations and reminded me that not every book has to be a favorite to be worth reading.
Then I swung in the opposite direction with Strangers: A Memoir of Marriage by Belle Burden, which I listened to on audio and flew through. It’s intimate, smart, and deeply human—one of those books you immediately want to pass along to a friend with a you’ll get this text.
That’s the energy I’m going for here. No required reading, no pressure to agree with me, and no pretending I loved something just because critics did. This is simply a running list of what I read, what stuck, and what I’d recommend to a friend over coffee.
Check back anytime—this list is very much a work in progress.
