Anthem Development is starting work on Premier, a 296-unit luxury apartment complex, marking the first phase of the redevelopment of the former Valley View Center mall. Anthem is a real estate firm affiliated with Beck Ventures, which is overseeing the mall transformation. The mall closed ten years ago, was demolished eight years ago, and this is the first project of the redevelopment plan.
The Dallas Business Journal reports that the developer says the mixed-use venture on 440 acres will include office space, a hotel, additional retail, and green space.
Premier, at a cost of $85 million, is expected to open sometime in 2027. The community is also expected to feature about 13,500 square feet of retail on the ground floor.
Anthem is partnering with PLT America — a joint venture of Toyota Motor Corp. and Panasonic Holdings Corp. — as well as Beck Ventures for equity on Dallas Midtown’s first phase.
Financing for the apartments will come from NexBank and the community will be designed by Cross Architects and constructed by Anthem Commercial Construction.
