Modular housing developer Tudo Capital has completed its first project, Stacks on Polk, a 19-unit modular building in Phoenix constructed from 45 recycled shipping containers. It’s located just off Loop 202 at 53rd Street and Polk.
The units are available for rent starting at $1,250 a month. The modules were fabricated in Tudo Capital’s factory in Hermosillo, Mexico, then shipped to Phoenix fully certified and building-code compliant. Each unit comes fully equipped with insulation, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
Tudo Capital states that it’s the only Arizona-licensed modular multifamily manufacturer operating out of Mexico and is in the preliminary planning stages to develop additional projects in the state.
Tudo’s Even Glickman said, “By utilizing recycled materials, new code paths, and using lower cost labor in our Mexico facility, we are able to significantly cut project costs compared to site-built projects. We pass these savings on directly to our development partners, offering modules below $100 per square foot, 30% lower than comparable traditional construction.”
