Mitsubishi might be busy rebadging Renault models in Europe, but things are very different in its home market. The latest example is a new electric concept that will be introduced at the Japan Mobility Show and combines rugged capability with hotel-room comfort in the cabin.
The yet-unnamed concept is described as an electric crossover SUV with all-wheel-drive performance, promising powerful output and a smooth ride over any terrain. The teaser showcases a futuristic rear design with a full-width LED light bar, no visible rear glass, and an intriguing structural element mounted underneath. Chunky tires, muscular fenders, and dark plastic cladding emphasize its off-road intentions.

An earlier teaser photo revealed the cabin that houses a large double bed under a roof lined with sci-fi-inspired ambient lighting. Mitsubishi says the “spacious interior offers a luxurious in-car sleeping environment that turns any destination into a glamping retreat.” The concept also incorporates personalization features tailored to individual lifestyles, hinting at a more flexible cabin layout than typical SUVs.

The photos show four figures relaxing in the wilderness beside the concept and a large tent, underscoring its adventurous spirit. Overall, the model appears to be larger than the D:X Concept from the 2023 edition of the same show, and could serve as a preview of a future SUV.

Mitsubishi’s stand will also include the new Delica Mini and eK Space kei cars. Those will be joined by the current Outlander PHEV SUV and Delica D:5 minivan, as well as the Triton Rally Car that won the Asia Cross Country Rally 2025. In other sections of the show, the automaker will showcase a 1985 Pajero from Dakar, a 1996 Lancer Evo III from WRC, and the 2014 MiEV Evolution III from Pikes Peak.
We expect Mitsubishi to give away more details about the concept as we move closer to its debut at the Japan Mobility Show 2025 on October 30.
