These days, we don’t typically see engines measuring in at over five liters in normal, everyday vehicles. The usual sort of car to be granted the use of an engine larger than that are pickup trucks like the Chevrolet Silverado, huge SUVs like the Cadillac Escalade, and supercars/hypercars, with the odd performance sedan or ultra-luxury model here and there. The main reason for cars these days not having larger engines is the pursuit of efficiency, as automakers turn more and more to smaller, turbocharged mills with fewer cylinders to produce power for their mass-market entries.
