Scheels announced in 2023 that they were headed to Cedar Park. And now, they are saying the store debut will be the first week in September. The 378,000-square-foot space will be at the 117-acre CedarView project. The retailer will include 75 specialty shops and one million products, ranging from hunting gear to home decor. The company’s retail category is aligned with Cabela’s and Bass Pro Shops.
The store will need to hire over 200 full time workers, 500 total.
The CedarView mixed-use project is anchored by a Nebraska Furniture Mart and plans also call for at least 700,000 square feet of warehouse space and 250,000 square feet of retail.
Great Lakes Capital is also building a hotel and convention center on the site. The full-service Marriott hotel will have 297 guest rooms, 30,000 square feet of event and meeting space, a parking garage, a full-service restaurant, breakfast cafe and expansive pool area. It’s set to open in early 2027.
