Medline has begun work on a 1.2-million-square-foot development in Midlothian, Texas. Medline plans to implement an advanced storage and retrieval system at the Midlothian facility. Medline invested $150 million in this project.
The company says it’s the largest provider of medical-surgical products and supply chain solutions serving all points of care.
This property will complement the company’s first warehouse in Dallas-Fort Worth, an 800,000-square-foot facility in Wilmer, Texas, serving health-care providers, including hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, physician offices, nursing homes, and hospices.
The latest project will represent the company’s 45th distribution center across the U.S. once it becomes operational next year.
The firm owns more than 26 million square feet of warehouse space nationwide.
