Apple has finally announced WWDC 2026 dates. This year’s Apple annual Worldwide Developer Conference will run from June 8 to June 12. The Cupertino tech giant will kick off the main WWDC 2026 keynote address on Monday at 10:00 am Pacific Time. Similar to the previous worldwide developer conferences, WWDC 2026 will also remain a free and primarily online experience for all developers who want to tune in and get the information on the latest software updates around the Apple product ecosystem.
Here’s what to expect from Apple’s latest software updates
We finally have the official Apple WWDC 2026 dates. During the conference, Apple will introduce its next generation of operating systems. This year, Apple will reveal the details of iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27, which are its major OS platforms. Additionally, the company will also reveal watchOS 27, tvOS 27, and visionOS 27. Apple could also preview new features coming to AirPods and HomePod at the conference.
Third-party app developers rely on Apple’s WWDC sessions to learn how to create new features for their apps before the company releases new OS updates to the public in the fall.
Apple has also mentioned that WWDC26 will spotlight “incredible updates for Apple platforms, including AI advancements and exciting new software and developer tools”. The company could release Siri and Apple Intelligence functionalities that Google’s Gemini AI models power.
Apple will allow a select group of developers and students to attend the conference
We know Apple’s main WWDC26 conference will stream online. However, Apple is still hosting a special in-person viewing party for a select group of developers and students. They can visit the company’s Apple Park campus in Cupertino on opening day. Current Apple Developer Program members, Entrepreneur Camp alumni, prior Swift Student Challenge winners, and Apple Developer Enterprise Program members can apply to attend the June 8 main keynote at Apple Park.
Apple will select these participants via a random lottery. The iPhone maker is accepting submissions until 11.59 pm PT on Monday, March 30. Apple will announce the lottery winners on April 2. For everyone else, Apple will broadcast the main keynote and all the technical sessions directly through the Apple Developer app.
