
Lotus might be facing its biggest financial challenge in years, including slashing the workforce at its Hethel HQ in the UK, but it’s good to see the brand isn’t standing still and is still looking to the future. In a recent second-quarter results call, company CEO Feng Qingfeng gave an update on future product, specifically the future of the Emira sports car. The Emira, which was planned to be Lotus’s last combustion-powered car ever, will now have a stay of execution, with a 2027 facelift bringing with it plug-in hybrid power.
