Every August, the Monterey Peninsula turns into a playground for the ultra-rich, a temporary ecosystem where rare cars, expensive sunglasses, and even pricier espresso all coexist in perfect harmony. Monterey Car Week has become one of the go-to stages for automakers to debut ultra-limited, ultra-expensive models, and this year, it looks like Lamborghini is showing up with something particularly dramatic.

A new report suggests the Italian brand is preparing to unveil a special model that could be called the Fenomeno, which just so happens to be both the Italian, Greek, and Spanish words for phenomenon.
The reveal is expected to take place during the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, and while Lamborghini hasn’t confirmed the car publicly, the rumors kicked off when the company trademarked the Fenomeno name with the European Union Intellectual Property Office earlier this spring.
A Familiar Base, Dialed Up to 11
According to The Supercar Blog, this special model will be based on the current Lamborghini Revuelto. It’s unclear what changes have been made to that car’s 6.5-liter V12 hybrid powertrain, but the Fenomeno will reportedly be the most powerful Lambo ever, churning out more than the Revuelto’s 1,001 hp.
One possibility is that it could serve as Lamborghini’s answer to the Ferrari SF90 XX, though that might not be the case after all. While there are undoubtedly more powerful and lighter versions of the Revuelto in the works, these models are more likely to adopt monikers like S, SV, or SVJ, rather than an all-new name.
Instead, it seems more likely that it will follow in the footsteps of Aventador-based specials like the Veneno, Centenario, and Sian FKP 37. It’s understood that some of Lamborghini’s customers were recently offered a preview of the new model, and one of them reportedly said the design will be inspired by one of Sant’ Agata’s most iconic models (the Miura, naturally, springs to mind, but we’ll have to wait and see).
It’s claimed that as few as 29 examples of the Lamborghini Fenomeno could be built. Alongside the extra grunt, expect to see it sport a bodywork that’s totally distinct to the one of the ‘regular’ Revuelto. It’s also safe to assume it’ll have a price tag far exceeding $1 million. Well, if you have to ask… you probably won’t be at Pebble Beach anyway.
