A Hypercar With a Story
The Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear turned heads the moment it debuted earlier this year. Its name carries a personal touch: Jesko von Koenigsegg, Christian’s father, was a jockey, and his favorite racehorse, Sadair’s Spear, ran its final race in 1976.
The Swedish hypercar is regarded as the ultimate Jesko, described as the company’s most track-focused production car yet, combining advanced aerodynamics, lightweight carbon fiber wheels, upgraded brakes, and retuned Triplex suspension. With up to 1,603 hp from a twin-turbo 5.0-liter V8 hybrid and Koenigsegg’s 9-speed Light Speed Transmission driving the rear wheels, the car achieves a 1:1 power-to-weight ratio on E85 fuel.
The result is a record-breaking machine. Within just six months of its debut, the Sadair’s Spear has already broken lap records here and abroad, with the latest being on the most famous race track in America: Laguna Seca.
Laguna Seca Record
The Sadair’s Spear set a new production-car lap record at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca on November 4, 2025. The record-breaking run covered the 2.24-mile track in 1:24.16, with factory driver Markus Lundh behind the tiller.
Now, here’s the kicker. With petitions from the circuit’s neighbors, Laguna Seca is currently under a strict 90 dB noise limit, which means the Sadair’s Spear was equipped with a heavy muffler at the back. It was also wearing heavier aluminum wheels instead of the carbon-fiber set. Despite these, the record has been set, and Czinger won’t be happy about it at all.
Known for its elevation changes and the challenging Corkscrew corner, Laguna Seca has two previous records to beat: that of the Jesko Attack’s 1:24.86 run last year and the 1:25.44 set by the Czinger 21C in 2021.

Unfortunately, You Can’t Buy One
The record-setting lap at Laguna Seca was the third for the Sadair’s Spear this year. Earlier, it also set a Goodwood Hill Climb record in 47.14 seconds – also beating the Czinger 21C by 1.6 seconds. It also bested the Gotland Ring lap of the Jesko Absolut by 1.1 seconds with a 2:55.88 finish.
Unfortunately, even if you have over $5.1 million lying around, production of the Sadair’s Spear is strictly limited to 30 units, all of which were spoken for long before the hypercar’s public debut. Who knows what lap record the Sadair’s Spear will break next, but we’re sure its upcoming owners are giddy about its achievements before they reach their garage.
