Memorial Hermann Health System is investing $282.5 million to expand the hospital at 23900 Katy Freeway. The expansion will include a new eight-story patient tower with additional inpatient beds, imaging services and a rooftop helipad for Memorial Hermann’s Life Flight air ambulance services. Construction is set to begin in late 2026.
Other areas Memorial Hermann will expand include the pediatric emergency center, surgical services, women’s and children’s services, the laboratory, the pharmacy, and multiple support services, such as the kitchen and cafeteria. The Life Flight expansion follows the system’s official unveiling of a new Airbus H145 helicopter, sponsored by ExxonMobil Corp.
Memorial Hermann Katy is also finalizing an expansion that will add 100 beds, a third professional office building, home to TIRR Memorial Hermann Pediatric Outpatient Rehabilitation-Katy, an expanded emergency center, and a parking garage.
