Kane Realty Corporation filed site plans with the town of Cary for Flat Iron, a mixed-use project on Chatham Street. The Triangle Business Journal reports Flat Iron will be a 7-story building with apartments and a restaurant space.Â
Flat Iron is proposed for 2 acres at 602 W. Chatham St. and 523 Old Apex Road. The property is now unpaved parking next to the Chatham Street roundabout. It also has a small warehouse that would be demolished to make way for the development.Â
Site plans show 213 units, 5,659 square feet of restaurant/retail space, and an 8-level attached parking deck. The units will range from studios to two-story townhomes, as well as one hotel room.
Amenities include a swimming pool, courtyard, rooftop amenity space, community gathering space, fitness center, club room and coworking space.Â
The restaurant/retail space will front Old Apex Road near the traffic circle and have outdoor patio space. The parking deck will have 312 spaces.Â
