
Madison Realty Capital and Newbond Holdings originated a $79.3 million loan to MetLife Investment Management (MetLife) and MDM Group for the JW Marriott Marquis Miami, a 357-key hotel located at 255 Biscayne Boulevard Way in Downtown Miami. The hotel is connected to the Wells Fargo Center.
The 41-story property comprises 313 JW Marriott Marquis rooms and 44 Hotel Beaux Arts rooms, which are part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection and operate as a hotel within a hotel. The hotel was developed in 2010 by a partnership between MetLife Investment Management and MDM Group. In 2023, it completed a $16 million renovation. MetLife and MDM Group plan additional upgrades in 2026.Â
Its amenities include an infinity pool, an NBA-sized basketball court, an entertainment lounge, a full-service spa, a fitness center, food and beverage outlets, and extensive meeting and event space, including the largest ballroom of any luxury hotel in the Central Business District.
