JPMorgan Chase has added more than 126,000 square feet in the Citadel Center at 131 S. Dearborn St., bringing its total footprint in the 37-story building to almost 321,000 square feet, according to Crain’s.
Under the short-term arrangement, JPMorgan Chase now leases space on the building’s fourth, fifth and eighth floors through the end of 2026 and floors three and six through the end of 2029. JLL’s Steve Stratton, Andy Strand and Annie Nicolau negotiated the lease expansion on behalf of JPMorgan Chase. Jack McKinney Jr., Patrick Russo and Katie Hull represented the landlord.
The move gives the financial giant extra workspace as it completes renovations to Chase Tower at 10 S. Dearborn St. The 850-foot, 60-story skyscraper will undergo a transformation, and planned renovations include a refreshed and interconnected, plaza, lobby and mezzanine, refurbished work floors with state-of-the-art technology, a new fitness center, and an improved outdoor plaza area.
