’41 Edition Wrangler Pays Homage to Military Roots
Jeep is a brand steeped in heritage and stories; it remains one of the truly few iconic brands with equally iconic models like the Wrangler. Another thing the brand is good at is keeping the historic spirit alive through special limited-edition models.
One such model is a special variant of the Wrangler Rubicon 2-door, specifically the ’41 Edition, which harkens back to the brand’s Military beginnings and is slated for a very limited release in Japan.

Special and Capable in Every Way
The ’41 Edition is applied to the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon model, and true to the Rubicon moniker, it features all the necessary off-road essentials, including the brand’s patented Rock-Trac full-time 4×4 system. For improved torque delivery that enhances traction, the ’41 Edition features a 4:1 low-range gear. The capabilities are also bolstered through electronic front and rear differential locks, ensuring even power distribution to all 4 wheels when needed, and a sway bar disconnect system that improves suspension travel to aid in better contact with the ground on uneven surfaces.
What makes it a ’41 edition? Well, for starters, it comes in a special colorway —a deeply accurate-looking Military Green hue that pays tribute to the 1941 Military Jeep. Customers will also receive a special Thor box, painted in the same finish and color as the Jeep Wrangler ’41 Edition.
Inside, the ’41 edition comes with the trappings of the Rubicon model it’s based on, including features such as the 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as a premium 9-speaker sound system courtesy of Alpine.

Extremely Rare in Japan
Power is provided by a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four, making 268 HP and 400 Nm of torque. It also only comes in the 2-door configuration, which actually makes sense for Japan, given the more crowded and tighter roads, making for easier maneuverability.
The sale of the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon ’41 Edition will officially start on November 15 in Japan, with a retail price of $55,000 (converted). Only 150 units are to be sold, making this extremely rare in that part of the world.
