The Compass’ massive price hike isn’t the only big news at Jeep as the company has released a cryptic teaser. Quietly shown on their homepage, the teaser features a countdown and a message saying “something big is dropping soon.”
They’re accompanied by a short video of wooden military crates parachuting to the ground.

It’s not entirely clear what Jeep is teasing, but the company recently introduced the redesigned Cherokee, facelifted Grand Cherokee, and updated Grand Wagoneer. This would seemingly suggest we’re looking at the Recon, which is scheduled to debut later this year.
However, a closer inspection reveals the crates are adorned with the Jeep Performance Parts logo. This implies we’re looking at a hardcore Gladiator or Wrangler.
Digging a little deeper, we found the teaser video is also shown on the landing page for the 2026 Wrangler, so we know what the apparent special edition will be based on.

We’ll learn full details on November 12, but the 2026 Wrangler starts at $34,395 before a $1,995 destination fee. It offers six trims ranging from the Sport and Sport S to the Willys, Sahara, Rubicon, and Rubicon X.
Additional variants will likely join the lineup later on including the Rubicon 392 and plug-in hybrid Wrangler 4xe.
Jeep hasn’t detailed changes for the 2026 Wrangler yet, though it will be offered with a new Reign paint job. Furthermore, Jeep CEO Bob Broderdorf confirmed we can expect additional V8 powered variants as well as more personalization and customization options for the Wrangler and Gladiator.
At the time, he suggested this could include larger tires as well as uniquely colored components such as fender flares.
