In matters of business, any reasonable person doesn’t exactly root for their competitors to fail, but they do hope to outshine them when it comes to market visibility and overall sales. That is, you don’t mind seeing others do well, just so long as you’re doing better. A rising tide lifts all ships, as they say, and the inverse is true, as well.
