Caviar, popular for its luxury-class editions of popular devices, especially Apple iPhones, has announced customized iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone Air models. True to its nature, the special editions use premium materials like 24K gold, genuine crocodile leather, and aerospace-grade titanium. The combination of these materials gives the phones a touch of class, setting them apart from the regular models. However, that premiumness comes at a cost as the iPhone 17 Pro and Air Caviar models are not cheap.
iPhone 17 Pro Caviar edition is available in limited pieces
The new custom edition iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone Air models retain their design originality and colors, while offering the elegance of Caviar. The Pro and Pro Max will be available in Silver Black, Gold Navy, Black Orange, and Cosmic Fire colors. Meanwhile, the iPhone Air can be bought in a single Air Black shade. The prices of these depend on the storage variant you choose, much like how Apple does.
The iPhone 17 Pro Caviar edition is essentially a niche product, as it offers an unusual look. It’s only for those who don’t like regular, boring designs and have the extra cash to spare.
The Caviar iPhone 17 Pro and Air are not cheap
The iPhone 17 Pro Cosmic Fire color uses Hermes Epsom orange leather, with a focus on luxury as well as durability. It gets a stainless steel build with a PVD-coated scratch-resistant frame, which is claimed to be lightweight and quite strong. The Comic Fire color’s price starts at $10,490 for the base 256GB version.
As for the Black Orange and Silver Black, these use a titanium with PVD coating and crocodile leather inlays. The former starts at $10,630, while the latter sets you back by $10,340. Then we have the Gold Navy color, which, as the name says, has a blue crocodile leather and double 24K gold accents. This particular color will be available starting at $10,770.
Lastly, the Air Black model of the iPhone Air. This uses a combination of titanium and crocodile leather. Despite the added bulk, it appears to be retaining the slimmer profile. This is a return of the classic black finish of sorts. The iPhone Air Caviar edition starts at $7,900.Â
Availability
The Caviar editions of iPhone 17 Pro and Air will be available in limited quantities, presumably for each variant. You can order them from the Caviar official website. The regular iPhone 17 models are significantly cheaper than these luxury editions.
