California-based burger chain In-N-Out continues to advance plans for the company’s first Portland-area location.
In-N-Out has filed plans for building and demolition permits for a location at 10565 S.W. Beaverton Hillsdale Highway. The permit for the address indicates the chain will build a 3,886-square-foot restaurant with a drive-thru and outdoor seating on a half-acre parcel of land, reported the Portland Business Journal.
Two demolition permits for the intended building site were filed at the end of December. A 6,000-square-foot building that previously housed a Mexican restaurant and a 3,500-square-foot building that previously housed a Hawaiian restaurant will be razed to make room for In-N-Out.
In-N-Out also has plans to open additional locations across the metro area. The chain filed a land-use application several years ago for a site in Hillsboro, paid $3.3 million for a former Village Inn restaurant in Tualatin, and purchased land in Vancouver.
