
Just a few years after a major child labor scandal in the US hit Hyundai’s supplier group, the federal government is going after Hyundai for immigration enforcement. Reports indicate that the Department of Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency conducted a raid on a construction site at the Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America compound located near Savannah, Georgia. More than 400 individuals were reportedly detained, with a vast majority of them said to be South Korean nationals. And now the South Korean government is getting involved.
