The V8 engine as we’ve long known it is becoming a unicorn in the marketplace. This once-beating heart of virtually every automaker around has largely been scrapped in favor of smaller, typically turbocharged and often electrified engines that make more power and use less gas. There are no more V8 Nissans or Toyotas. No more V8-powered Volkswagens or Volvos. Sometimes, life’s not fair.
