Horvath & Tremblay completed the sale of 1719 & 1723 N Street NW, two side-by-side office buildings located in the heart of Dupont Circle. The properties, totaling approximately 16,100 gross square feet combined, sold for $4.61 million, exceeding the combined asking price of $4.5 million.
Society for Science, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) membership organization, was the long-time owner and seller of the properties. Founded by Edward W. Scripps and William Emerson Ritter, the Society had occupied the buildings for over 80 years before recently expanding its presence elsewhere in the city.
The seller was exclusively represented by Dennis Cravedi and Christian Barreiro of Horvath & Tremblay. The team conducted 47 property tours and received 13 written offers from a range of buyers, including residential developers, hospitality groups, and owner-users. The winning buyer plans to convert the two office buildings into residential use.
