HONOR Magic V6 is set to debut globally on March 1st. This is the company’s upcoming foldable offering that has been in the news constantly. We‘ve seen the live images of the phone on two occasions last week. Now, as we inch closer to the launch, things are getting pretty serious. More HONOR Magic V6 details have now come our way, including the processor and battery.
HONOR Magic V6 battery and processor details
Courtesy of the first teaser video, the HONOR Magic V6 chipset details have now been confirmed. However, the teaser poster doesn’t give a sneak peek at the foldable’s design. The video runs around the winners of the Grand Slam and Golden Slam Winter Sports event. It also mentions Xu Mengtao, who recently won a gold medal in women’s freestyle aerial skiing.Â
Perhaps the important bit of the video comes at the end. HONOR Magic V6 is confirmed to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip. This will be an upgrade over the Snapdragon 8 Elite in the last-generation foldable, the Magic V5. This upgrade should translate to significant performance improvement. Besides the chip, the video doesn’t reveal any other hardware detail.Â
Display, memory options, and more
Now, coming to the battery department. Several Weibo tipsters, including WHYLAB has reportedly shared some images of the HONOR Magic V6. Some of these images reportedly highlight the foldable’s battery capacity, charging, and other details. The ‘about phone’ images reveal that the Magic V6 could arrive in two configurations: 12GB + 256GB and 16GB + 512GB.Â
From the images, the 12GB + 256GB version will house a 7,150mAh battery. This version will reportedly get 120W fast charging support and Beidou satellite SMS functionality. There’s also a variant with a 6,580mAh battery, and this could get 80W fast charging, but will lack satellite features. If these are indeed true, the battery department is seeing a major upgrade. The Magic V5 featured a 6,100mAh battery (China) and a 5,820mAh cell (global).Â
The cover display will get a resolution of 2,420 X 1,080 pixels, while the main screen is 2,352 X 2,172 pixels. The device could feature HONOR C1 + E2 chips to enhance the communication. The HONOR Magic V6 runs on Android 16 with MagicOS 10 custom skin on top.

More live images
Besides the hardware details, more live images of the foldable have also come our way. One of the image show cases it in its completely folded state. This reveals the octagonal camera module with a golden ring. It seemingly houses quad camera sensors and an LED flash in the middle. The second and third live images show the cover screen, with a centre punch-hole for the selfie shooter. We also see speakers and a USB Type-C port at the bottom portion of the frame.Â
