- Honda will reveal a rugged Passport TrailSport concept at SEMA.
- It features a 2.4-inch lift, larger tires, and added off-road hardware.
- A rally-spec, street-legal Civic Type R will also make its debut.
The SEMA Show highlights customization and performance, so it’s little surprise the Honda Racing Corporation will have a big presence in Las Vegas next month.
Besides parts and accessories, they’re bringing eight vehicles including the Passport TrailSport HRC concept.
Designed for adventure, the concept features modified bumpers that help to improve approach and departure angles. They’re joined by aluminum skid plates, a 2.4-inch (60 mm) lift, and prototype wheels that are wrapped in larger off-road tires.

The upgrades don’t end there as the crossover sports new dampers, a custom exhaust, and rock sliders that double as side steps. The model also has an 8,000 lb (3,629 kg) winch and an integrated air compressor.
The Passport TrailSport HRC stands out thanks to a Thermal Orange exterior with custom graphics and a contrasting black roof.
The model also has a full-size spare tire carrier and a low-profile roof rack with a canopy. They’re joined by a ton of auxiliary lights, which are controlled by a custom multi-zone lighting system.
Moving inside, there’s a stylish two-tone interior with blue Alcantara upholstery. We can also see blue contrast stitching, blue accents, and a Garmin navigation system.
A Civic For Rallying

At the other end of the spectrum, there’s the new Civic Type R HRC Rally XP. It’s a street-legal hatchback that has been specifically designed to compete in the American Rally Association’s 2WD class.
The rally car is based on the Civic Type R and has been equipped with a number of existing performance parts including an intercooler, an oil cooler kit, and camber/caster plates. The model also has a ventilated hood, a retuned suspension, and an upgraded cooling system.

Besides off-the-shelf components, there are a number of prototype parts including beefier brakes, a custom exhaust, and a carbon fiber hydraulic handbrake. The model also sports underbody protection and rally-specific dampers.
The car was recently tested in Texas by F1 driver Liam Lawson and is “being evaluated by HRC for future commercial racing programs.”
A Sporty Acura Integra

Following its debut in 2024, the company will introduce an updated Acura Integra Type S HRC prototype. The latest evolution of the car has been equipped with new performance parts including forged wheels derived from those found on the ARX-06 race car.
The company didn’t say much else about the model, but noted it features advanced aerodynamics, a revised suspension, and a weight reduction.
Besides the aforementioned models, HRC will show the Baja Passport Race Truck, Civic Type R Super GT, and Civic Type R TCR. They’ll be joined by the Acura ARX-06, the winning IndyCar, and a “wall of prototype performance parts.”
