Imagine if Hyundai took all the secret sauce that makes the Ioniq 5 N one of the most fun enthusiast cars of the modern era and distilled it into a tiny, affordable hot hatch for the masses. We’re talking simulated gears, engine noises, and a redline you can bang off of in a package the size of, I dunno, a Fiat 500e. Hyundai won’t build such a thing, but Honda is doing just that, and shortly after the reveal of the almost-production-ready Honda Super-ONE prototype at the 2025 Japan Mobility Show, we got behind the wheel of an early prototype at Honda’s Tochigi Proving Ground. Long story short, it’s a giggle-fest of a hot hatch that could be one of the best fun cars America never gets access to.
