Homes for America recently celebrated the official groundbreaking of Clare Court II, an 83-unit affordable housing development at 3725 Ellerslie Avenue in Baltimore’s Waverly/Ednor Gardens-Lakeside neighborhood.
Clare Court II is among the first projects in Baltimore supported by the City’s Housing Accelerator Fund and HOME-ARP resources. Additional financing comes from the Maryland Department of Housing & Community Development, Baltimore City, Cinnaire, the Weinberg Foundation, and Maryland State Bond Funds.
The $31 million redevelopment will provide a mix of renovated and newly constructed apartments, all affordable to households earning between 30% and 60% of the area median income. The project is located on a historic eight-acre campus first developed in 1917. It is being developed in partnership with Hord Coplan Macht, Southway Builders, and Cinnaire. Once complete, Clare Court II will be managed by Habitat America, ensuring professional on-site management and supportive services for residents.
