Hisense has revealed the U7SG, its latest TV in the U7 lineup that caters to movie buffs just as much as it does to those who love gaming. While many of Hisense’s TVs have had gaming features, the new U7SG seems to kick things up a notch by adding an upgraded gaming mode. The U7SG also keeps the fast native refresh rate of some of the other TVs in the Hisense lineup, but it also features a wide variety of size options.
Most exciting, for gamers as well as anyone watching TV shows or movies, is the U7SG’s peak brightness. Hisense confirms that it goes up to 3,000 nits, which means it’s going to get pretty bright and should stand up nicely to glare and brightly-lit rooms. Keep in mind that this is the peak brightness, and you may never end up needing the TV to go that high.
The Hisense U7SG will make a fine gaming TV, thanks to its Game Booster Mode
Truth be told, the Game Booster Mode is not the only trait of this TV that will likely make it a good option for gaming. The display already has a native 165Hz refresh rate. That being said, Game Booster can push this up to 330Hz. The display features AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support as well. for consistency.
Those who enjoy immersive sound will be pleased to know that the U7SG comes with multi-channel speakers that support Dolby Atmos. Plus, the built-in Google TV with Gemini will make it really easy to find stuff to watch. As for sizes, Hisense starts this TV at a reasonable 55 inches, but it goes all the way up to 116 inches if you have the space and want to go big. It’s worth noting that only the 65-inch model seems to be available online at the moment. Some or all of the sizes should be available at local retailers such as Video Only here on the West Coast. Hisense doesn’t have prices listed on its website for the TV, unfortunately, but they should be reasonably-priced, given that Hisense TVs usually cost a little less than major brands like Sony, LG, and Samsung.
