The Samsung Galaxy S26 series is a mere couple of weeks away from the official announcement, which is now confirmed to be happening on February 25. While details like pricing haven’t been made official yet, several rumors about the prices of Samsung’s newest phones in Europe and in the US have circulated. It now seems possible that there might be a price increase on the way for European consumers.
That makes it even the slightest bit possible that prices could go up in the US as well. Although several rumors have claimed that US pricing will stay the same. In addition to European pricing, official prices for the phones in Korea are starting to leak. A new report from South Korean news outlet Naver suggests that Samsung has finalized the prices of its three upcoming phones.
It’s worth noting that only the prices of the 256GB and 512GB storage variants are mentioned.
The Samsung Galaxy S26 will see a price increase in Europe and South Korea
Based on the Naver report, the prices of the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Plus are going up by KRW 99,000. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is going up by KRW 98,600. The report doesn’t mention exact prices, but they aren’t needed. You can simply tack the price increase amount onto the prices from last year.
As for the price increase in Europe, the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Plus are rumored to be going up by €100 for the 256GB model. This is the base storage variant that Samsung is offering this year. The Galaxy S26 Ultra (which is likely to be one of the best Android phones this year) is said to be going up by only €20 for the 256GB model. However, it’s also stated that the difference in price from last year to this year gets larger as you go up to the variants with more storage.
Based on these price increases, European customers are looking at paying a base cost of €999 for the Galaxy S26. This is with 256GB of storage. The Galaxy S26 Plus, meanwhile, is rumored to start at €1,269. The Galaxy S26 Ultra will start at €1,469.
Prices in the US aren’t immune to an increase, but it seems likely they’ll stay the same
As mentioned before, the Galaxy S26 series is already rumored to stay at the same price in the US. This claim has been made more than a few times, coming from different rumors, no less. So, it seems more likely that Samsung isn’t looking to increase the price of the phones in the States. That doesn’t mean that it isn’t a possibility. Just that it appears to be an unlikely one.
If prices stay the same, then consumers in the US are looking at $799 as the starting cost to get into a new Galaxy S26 series device. Speaking of pricing, customers who reserve their phone via the Galaxy Reserve Program will get a $30 credit. And if they pre-order using the reserve, they’ll get entered for a chance to win $5,000.
