- A secret 42-car collection is being sold by RM Sotheby’s in Switzerland.
- More than two dozen rare Ferraris dominate the Tailored For Speed lot.
- Highlights also include a Pagani Utopia, Huayra R, and a Bugatti Chiron SS.
Sitting quietly in Switzerland is an exotic car collection so extraordinary it could make even a Middle Eastern oil baron envious. Called The Tailored for Speed Collection, this remarkable lineup of machines will go under the hammer with RM Sotheby’s next month, with Chris Harris recently given the chance to explore it.
The identity of the collection’s owner hasn’t been revealed, but they’re clearly a huge Ferrari fan. Of the 42 cars heading to auction, 33 carry the Prancing Horse badge, and many of them are among the most sought-after models ever built.
Racing Pedigree
The single most valuable Prancing Horse being sold is a 1998 333 SP that’s expected to fetch between $5.5 million and $6.5 million. It is one of just 40 examples built and won two rounds of the 1999 Sports Racing World Cup championship.

The 333 SP is not the only race-bred Ferrari in the collection. Also being sold are a FXX-K Evo, an FXX Evo, and a 599 XX that are tipped to go for as much as $5.5 million, $4.65 million, and $3.5 million, respectively.
Beyond the racing cars are several road-going Ferraris with equal allure. The auction list features a 2017 LaFerrari Aperta valued at $5.5 million, a Daytona SP3, and icons like the F40 and 812 Competizione A. There’s also an SA Aperta, the sharp-edged F12tdf, and even a 488 GTE Evo race car, highlighting just how varied this group really is.
Beyond Maranello
The collection doesn’t comprise solely of Fezzas, though, as there are plenty of other incredibly desirable cars in it. One of them is a Pagani Huayra Roadster BC painted in Glossy Blue Francia with carbon fiber accents that’s expected to sell for between $4 million and $4.4 million. Another is a Huayra R, one of just 30 ever built, and a freshly-delivered Utopia.
The Bugatti contingent is headlined by a 2023 Chiron Super Sport clad in blue-tinted carbon fiber, a detail that makes the car look almost sculpted from sapphire. With just 516 km (320 miles) on the clock, it could bring as much as $4.4 million.
Finally, RM Sotheby’s lists a Lamborghini Sian FKP 37, a Mercedes-AMG GT2 Pro, a Bentley Continental GT3-R, and a Lamborghini Huracan Technica 60th Anniversary Edition as part of the amazing collection.
Money sure can’t buy happiness, but if you’re a petrolhead, chances are right now you wish you were filthy rich so you could place a bid. We know we are…
